Delivery & Returns
Presently we only deliver to the UK, there is no international postage.
FREE UK Delivery, Please Note : a signature will be required on all deliveries. Some services to outlying areas will have extended delivery times, please see Post Restrictions.
We Offer FREE UK delivery on all items under 30 Kilos in weight, with the following exceptions :
Items over 20KG where the customer is within the “Islands & Highlands and Northern Ireland”, (you know who you are!) where any additional cost charged by the courier will be passed on to the customer ;
Large Parcels, (up to 2.5M in length and 5M length and girth combined) are not possible in some outlying areas, please see post restrictions.
Oversized items, (such as furniture) will require a courier quote and are priced individually depending on customer postcode.
All customers or items that fall under the above categories, please email, (see below) with a FULL postal address and telephone number, so a postage quote can be obtained.
All items are sent fully insured as follows :
Small and medium packages are sent via : Royal Mail 1st / 2nd class recorded delivery, or Special Delivery, (depending on value of item) ;
Larger parcels are sent through Parcelforce 48 ;
Oversized items will be sent through an appropriate courier.
Items are normally posted within 48 hours, Monday – Friday, 10am - 2pm except Bank Holidays.
Retro Antiques Curios are environmentally aware, we recycle and reuse packaging materials where possible.
Returns and Refunds
Customer note : The items we sell are vintage or antique, they are not new. Wear and tear is to be expected on all items commensurate with age and use, this is NOT damage. Please see item description and photographs for condition, if you are not sure or have any questions please ask.
Purchases from Retro Antiques Curios, (RAC) are protected by The Distance Selling Regulations 2000, which can be found HERE.
Under these regulations you have the right to cancel your purchase within 10 working days after receipt of the item.
Change of mind
You will receive a refund of the original price less our included, and your RETURN postage cost, (please follow instructions below).
Not as described
You will receive a full refund including return postage, (please follow instructions below).
Please check parcel for obvious damage before accepting, and mark as “damaged” with the courier.
Under all circumstances :
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance, and clearly state the problem or the reason for returning the item.
If a return is requested we will then assign you a returns reference, which should be clearly marked on the front of the parcel, we will also send you the return address.
Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.
Once received and checked by our staff, a refund will be issued.
All items must be returned in the original packaging, with the same delivery method and insurance cover with which it was sent, (unless otherwise agreed).
All refunds will be completed within 14 working days of receiving the item back via the same method it was paid by.
Failure to follow the above instructions will affect your refund.
